STORY
Rose Coast Music School grew out of Danny Fitch’s 15+ years of experience teaching music and performing. Danny always had a gift for singing, but a new chapter began when he decided to learn guitar so he could accompany himself. Before long, he was playing guitar, piano, bass, drums, and more. He came to understand that being a musician doesn’t require rare talent; anyone can learn to play. His motto is trust the process, trust the progress.
Early in his career, Danny worked with Temple Isaiah in Beverly Hills, playing guitar and teaching music for children. He was able to combine teaching and performing while playing for hundreds of kids each week. Danny found so much joy and purpose working with kids and wanted to start giving one on one lessons to students who wanted more. His education in psychology and early childhood development informs his approach to working with young learners, from preschoolers to teenagers.
Alongside teaching, Danny has more than 20+ years of performance experience — television, entertainment venues, and special events, including weddings and bar mitzvahs. This experience has shaped the philosophy of Rose Coast Music School, which emphasizes the importance of sharing music with others.
The team is here to provide ongoing mentorship and build lasting relationships with their students. Through Rose Coast Music, Danny’s goal is to inspire others to build a lifelong relationship with music and develop the confidence to carry their love of song beyond lessons and into the rest of their lives.
Sophie Feldman is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist — voice, guitar, piano, bass, and beginner drums — constantly writing, producing, and performing around LA. She's also an early education specialist, with over 5 years at Temple Isaiah's preschool teaching students as young as 1.5 years old, which shows in how naturally she works with young beginners. She's currently pursuing her Master's in Music Therapy at Pepperdine University.
DeRock Tucker is a true jack-of-all-trades — it's genuinely hard to say which instrument he's best at. He teaches guitar, piano, bass, drums, vocals, and songwriting. He especially shines with beginner students, bringing out the joy and excitement of making music from day one.
Jess Harper is an accomplished vocalist, guitarist, pianist, bassist, and drummer who's been teaching with Rose Coast for over 2 years. She shines brightest on piano, where her years of classical training and music reading show up in her teaching. Jess is also a songwriter and performer building her solo career, playing shows all around Los Angeles.
Trey Cornish is Rose Coast's resident drum rocker, with 20+ years of experience playing drums and leading bands. He also teaches guitar and bass, and is a favorite with absolute beginners and budding rockers who want to play loud and fast. His infectious energy for exploring music keeps his students inspired.
Peter Chase is the newest addition to the Rose Coast teaching team. Classically trained on piano and guitar, he's just as comfortable with a classically minded student as he is rocking out with drum, bass, and vocal students who love pop and rock. His endless curiosity about music keeps his students excited to keep exploring.
