DANNY RUBENSTEIN FITCH
ABOUT ME

I grew up on the North side of Chicago, surrounded by music and was always singing. At the University of Rochester, I joined the Yellow Jackets acapella group which eventually landed us onto the TV show, ‘The Sing Off: Season 3’ where we competed with groups like The Pentatonix every week in front of millions of viewers. My 15 minutes of fame gave me a taste of life in Los Angeles, and I was hooked. After touring the world following our TV debut, I decided to quit the acapella life and move out to LA.
I quickly got a job with Temple Isaiah in Beverly Hills, playing guitar and teaching religious school music for kids. This role allowed me to bridge my passions of teaching and playing music while also continuing my journey to 10,000 hours of performance experience by playing for hundreds of kids every week. Two years and countless kids shows later, I bought my first electric guitar and decided to dedicate myself to becoming the best musician I could. I found a guitar teacher, practiced constantly and began to see vast improvement in my playing. Shortly after this, I began teaching guitar lessons, performing more, writing more, and releasing my own music.

Then in 2020, the pandemic hit and my music teaching 'side gig' grew into now teaching 50+ weekly private students with consistent recitals twice a year. The progress my students made during this time inspired me to continue expanding my own musical horizons, which led me to studying drums, bass, and piano in addition to guitar and singing. My own musical education allows me to embody my own teaching philosophies while demonstrating the benefits of diligent practice to my students. I've realized my passion for teaching has made me a better musician, which has in turn made me into a better teacher.

This is why I'm still so excited to create, play, and EXPLORE music. I know what it's like to have dreams of musical success, what it's like to work my butt off to achieve those goals, and how to persevere in the music world. Rose Coast Music is the embodiment of my life's work built on the virtuous cycle of excited musical education and continued live performance. I'm so excited to interact with you via the Music School or at any of my live events.
