Band Classes in West Los Angeles
Band class is where the real magic happens — students rotate through guitar, bass, keys, drums, and vocals, learning what it actually feels like to play as a group. Beyond the notes, band class teaches students how to listen, communicate, and rehearse as a unit. Weekly rehearsals with Danny build toward performances year round, with ages 10 through adult welcome.
Price - Each 90 minute class with teacher Danny is $200. It is amazing when students can commit for a whole season, but that is not required. If a student cancels within the 24 hour window they are not charged for the band class.
Ages and levels - Students as young as 10 can start in student bands. Entrance into bands depends on experience and skill level. If a student not already taking one-on-one lessons would like to be in the band, Teacher Danny will evaluate their fit for the band through an audition.
How it runs - Bands meet weekly and stay together as long as schedules allow.
When - Bands are Mon-Thurs 4:30-6 or 6:30-8 depending on availability.
Who teaches it - Teacher Danny.
How it ends - Bands perform at the bi-annual recital and have the option to perform at other band specific showcases.
Instruments - Students get to jump around to different instruments - guitar, bass, keys, drums, and vocals. We match students based on age, experience level, musical interests, and instrumentation, then work together on songs chosen to fit the group. Along the way, students learn how to listen to one another, communicate musically, rehearse effectively, and understand their role within a band. The goal is not just to learn individual parts, but to experience what it actually feels like to make music as a group.

Also - Students can join a band and continue their one on one lessons. Adult bands available as well!
