Guitar Lessons in West Los Angeles
Once students build a solid finger-exercise foundation, they're ready to level up with scales, chord structure, and picking techniques. This is where the real musicality starts to click — you'll notice your playing feeling smoother, faster, and more expressive. Together, we'll build on your fundamentals so every new skill sticks.

Who Teaches Guitar
All of our teachers are multi-instrumentalists and working musicians who perform regularly around Los Angeles. Danny consults with each student or parent to match them with one of our incredible teachers - Sophie, John, Peter, Jess or Trey!

What a Lesson Looks Like
Every lesson is built around you — your goals, your current skill level, and the music you actually want to play. Here's what to expect:

We first identify each students unique musical dream - what songs you actually want to learn, what music genres interest you and what style of playing you want to work towards.

Once we identify a great song to start with, that song becomes the way in - we use it to introduce chords, technique and rhythm in a way that makes immediate sense. We then weave in finger exercises strengthen the fine motor skills necessary to play the instrument.

Lessons run 30 to 60 minutes, available in person at our studio locations or online via Zoom — whichever fits your budget and schedule better.

FAQ
Do I need my own guitar to get started? Nope! You can always use the gear at our studios if you're in person, and we offer rentals if you're not ready to invest in your own instrument. If you're not sure what to buy, we're happy to offer recommendations based on your budget and goals before you purchase.

I've never played before — is that okay? Absolutely. Complete beginners are welcome, and a lot of my students start with zero experience. We'll begin with the fundamentals and build from there at a pace that works for you.

How often should I take lessons? Most students take one lesson per week, which gives enough time to practice in between while keeping momentum going. We can adjust frequency based on your goals, budget and schedule.

Can I do lessons online instead of in person? Yes! — We teach both in-studio and via Zoom, and you're welcome to switch between the two depending on what works for you week to week.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a lesson? We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. The preferred payment method is billed through our Square system the morning of the scheduled lesson.

What ages do you teach? We work with students starting around 4 years old all the way through adults. Lessons are tailored to age and attention span, so younger students get a different approach than teens or adults.
